Hey there!

Mind if I introduce myself?

So who am I?

My name is Alex Colberg, and I am a photographer based out of Boise Idaho. I am obsessed with Australian Shepherds and I cry every time I see one. I eat vegetables for breakfast and coffee for dinner. Running through the rain ignites my soul and if I could climb mountains every single day I would.

You could say I'm a people person. I love people, seriously. I love people so much that I graduated high school a year early to travel the 50 states and dive into the world around me. During my travels, I practiced photojournalism and got to know over 250 individuals that were nice enough to let me chase them down the streets until they reluctantly stopped out of pity to tell me their entire life story. Kidding (sort of). It was during my adventure that I realized my passion for both photography and others was something I could not ignore. So, here I am pursuing my lifelong dream of combining what I believe to be the two greatest things in the world.

This was taken on my first trip to Iceland. Iceland has such a special place in my heart and I credit this trip for giving me the confidence to start my photography business.

Another Iceland pic here. I thought I was going to blow over the power of this waterfall was so strong. I felt so free, so happy in this moment.

My favorite picture I’ve ever taken.

Something else you should know about me...

I am a firm believer in the little things. You know... birds chirping, gooey chocolate chip cookies and a cold glass of milk, laughing until you cry, petting puppies, a full tank of gas, Sunday mornings, and of course, good hair days. I've found that these little things are what make up the big things. The important stuff. The stuff that blends together with time and turns into your story.

For every story, few and far between, I hope to help you capture the memories that are most important to you in a way where you can not only remember, but also relive those sacred moments.
